July 2005 Fleetwood Country Cruize In, held at the private estate
of cadillac collector Steve Plunkett, in London, Ontario, hit the
ground running with 900 cars and 4,000 - 5,000 people from Canada
and the USA. It was Canada's turn to host the Auburn Cord Duesenberg
event so we pulled out all the stops for this one! At 2 p.m., eight
WWII air craft conducted four flybys over the show. This spectacular
display included the Avro Lancaster and Fairey Swordfish Biplane -
only two of each of these planes still fly in the world. Vintage aircraft
was a perfect fit. This was the first time the Hamilton War Plane
Museum ever booked an air show with 'some guy over the phone' as they
were accustomed to booking only with citys and large corporations
for such an event. Many thanks to Legendary Motor Cars for their display
of muscle cars and RM Classic Cars with four Duesenbergs valued at
$8 million. Many thanks also to all the participants for displaying
such an outstanding variety of vehicles.
